The Baku, Tbilisi, Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline is a large diameter, long distance pipeline (1,768 Km) developed by BP as the operator to transport crude oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil field in the landlocked Caspian Sea to a marine shipping terminal (Haydar Aliyev) on the south-eastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
Construction Project
The APLNG pipeline project, a joint Venture between Origin Energy, ConocoPhillips, and Sinopec, was a high profile business investment to transport gas from the coal seam gas (CSG) fields in the Surat and Bowen basins in south western and central Queensland, Australia to a new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) processing facility located at Laird Point on Curtis Island, off shore Gladstone.
In February 2014, I was solicited by WorleyParsons to assist their tendering effort to secure the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services to TANAP, and after a period of successful negotiations in which I played an active role the contract was awarded to them in May.
